Aussie songwriter and seasoned guitarist Jenny Biddle brings feisty blues and roots grooves, ingenious re-workings of popular singalong-songs, and a dusting of country for the wandering soul. Alongside her, Miwa Nagato-Apthorp, described as a “visceral new voice in Scottish folk”, draws on folk traditions to explore multicultural understandings of history, climate, gender and home, giving voice to stories often left unheard. Together, they weave guitar, piano, harmonies and amusing stage banter into an entertaining evening that feels both intimate and expansive.
